COVID-19 Vaccine INFORMATION

The Ketchikan EOC has partnered with Ketchikan Public Health and local health care providers to share information on the availability of the vaccine in Ketchikan.  The EOC recommends all citizens research the vaccine and determine if the vaccine is right for you.  Before scheduling your appointment, please review the following sources:

COVID VACCINE AVAILABILITY

The COVID-19 vaccine is now available for anyone living or working in Alaska who is age 16 or older.  Vaccine managed by  the Alaska Tribal Health System, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the U.S. Department of Defense may have different eligibility criteria.  See www.covidvax.alaska.gov for additional information.

There are several opportunities for Ketchikan residents to get the COVID-19 Vaccine!  

April 8 & 9 – Creekside Free Drive-up Clinic @ Berth 3 from Noon to 2pm; call 220-9982 for more information. (18 and older)

April 17 - Pfizer PeaceHealth Teen COVID Vaccine Clinic; make appointment by phone at (907)-228-8140.  (16-18 year olds)

April 13 - Free Public Clinic at Ted Ferry Civic Center; Make appointment at https://myhealth.alaska.gov/(18 and older) 

April 20 - Johnson and Johnson Vaccine Clinic at Public Health Center. Make appointment at https://myhealth.alaska.gov/ (18 and older)

April 24 - Free Public Clinic at Saxman Community Center; Make appointment at https://myhealth.alaska.gov/ (18 and older)

Appointments are also available at local providers for the Pfizer vaccine for anyone 16 and older, and Moderna vaccine for those 18 and older. To find and schedule an available appointments, see the table below.

HOW DO I GET A VACCINE?
  1. Make an appointment directly with a local Ketchikan provider. See the table above for direct appointment instructions.
  2. Members of the Ketchikan Indian Community or Saxman tribal citizens may call the Ketchikan Indian Community Clinic at 907.228.9200.
  3. Call one of the following local agencies for information about how to schedule an appointment:
    • Ketchikan Public Library @ 907-225-3331
    • Rendezvous Senior Services is available to assist its clientele @ 907-247-1961
  4. Appointments can be scheduled online at http://covidvax.alaska.gov 
  5. Call 907-646-3322 for assistance with scheduling an appointment. The call line is now staffed Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on weekends. 

Please note that the current vaccine quantity and available appointment times are limited.  If an appointment is not available, please check back in a day or two.
