Notice is hereby given that Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary wishes to renew its Tideland Lease with the Ketchikan Gateway Borough for ADL 61406 (ATS 200) a Borough owned Tidelands consisting of approximately 0.708 acres located at Alaska Tideland Survey 200 (Tract C) within Protracted Section 36 Township 75 South, Range 91 East, Copper River Meridian, according to the survey plat filed in the Ketchikan Recording District on September 16, 1993, as Plat #93-32 Amended, for the purpose of a nature observatory. The annual lease rate shall be in the amount of $602.50 and may be subject to rent adjustments. The lease term will be up to 55-years.
Any person interested in a lease for the area should file an application with the Borough Manager’s office, not later than June 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Any person wishing to protest this application to renew the lease the proposed Borough owned Property must file a written protest with the Borough Manager’s Office, no later than June 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Written protests may be emailed to managersoffice@kgbak.us or delivered to 1900 First Avenue, Suite 210, Ketchikan Alaska 99901. Any such protest must state the reason(s) for the protest in detail.
